As I walked the Camino de Santiago all 3 interpretations came to pass.

Each had its own place in my pilgrimage which continues today.

The one I have come to cherish most is Machado's interpretation. Looking back we see a path we will never walk again.

Thich Nhat Hanh also taught: There is no peace but the peace we make with every step.

Thank you for your interpretation, Scott.

Love this. Thank you for sharing these reflections, Diane. Walking the Camino de Santiago is a dream of ours after our tour of duty as full-time grandparents.

It will be well worth the wait, Scott

“The route can’t appear until you walk” feels remarkably true. Maps are often generated through movement, not before it.

Indeed, Darcy. Well said. The path cannot be mapped until it is first walked.
